Reading the quotation
Nasdaq 100 Index is read as an index level. Compare its percentage movement over the same period with other benchmarks; different starting levels do not measure the relative size or value of their markets.
Nasdaq 100 is expressed in index points. A higher level represents an increase in the index, while a lower level represents a decrease. A point change and a percentage change describe different quantities.
Before trading
When following Nasdaq 100, keep the observation time and selected chart interval consistent. An index level is distinct from the price and order size of a contract linked to that index.
