Start with the symbol and quotation
Read the instrument name and price unit together. EUR/USD is USD per EUR; USD/JPY is JPY per USD. Index values are points. A company-linked perpetual contract has its own product terms and does not confer company share ownership.
Keep the time period in view
A chart interval is the length of each candle. Daily percentage change is a separate measure over the quoted day window; it is not the return of your position. Compare instruments using matching periods and check the observation time.
Read missing and older values correctly
A reference value provides market context. An older observation describes an earlier moment. A dash means the field has no confirmed value; it does not mean zero or no price movement. Price, daily change, volume and history can be available separately.
If you switch instruments, confirm the new symbol before interpreting the next value. Do not substitute a previous instrument's price.
Check the order separately
A displayed price and an accepted order are different records. Review the instrument, direction, amount and costs in the order controls, then check the result in your account.
